The basic dartball board is a piece of 1/4" thick dense fiberboard 48" X 48" square. This board requires a piece of 1/2" plywood to be either glued, or stapled on to the back of the dartboard for backing to provide rigidity.  The board is printed with 7 different bright colors and shows all the items of a baseball game. 1st Base, 2nd Base, 3rd Base, Strike, Out, Ball, Foul, etc. The board is wired so players can determine how to score the dart. That is, wires run between each different item on the board. That way, if a dart lands right between, say the 1st base box and the out, by looking at which side of the wire the dart has landed, one can determine if it should be scored as a hit or an out. The wires effectively act as the umpire.
